The Finance Association at the University of Houston admits new members at the beginning of every semester. We are constantly seeking active individuals who have a desire to learn more about the financial industry, hardworking, and self-motivated.
All majors are invited to join the Finance Association. Our success is dependent on bringing together a diverse group of students with different majors, backgrounds, and dreams. Our organization continues to grow each semester and we encourage you to be a part of that growth.
Every semester, the Finance Association awards over $1,000 in student scholarships. That’s over $2,000 every year! During the semester, members receive points for every activity they participate in. At the end of each semester, points are totaled to determine the most active members. The Top 10 Most Active Members each receive a $100 scholarship. A Distinguished Member, determined from the Top 10 Most Active Members and based upon his or her involvement with the organization throughout the semester, also receives an additional $150 scholarship.
There are two options for membership: semester or year long. If you are a senior and are graduating at the end of this coming semester, you can sign up for the semester membership. For everyone else, we recommend taking advantage of the year long membership. The year long membership allows you to continue receiving our newsletters which often contain valuable materials such as special events, scholarships, and internship opportunities! Along with being discounted, year long memberships will be further reduced for the first month of everything semester.
