The Finance Association Crude Trading Tournament, aka FACT, was created this semester by Spring 2011 Research & Trade Director Phillip Bannon. This tournament is held only within the Finance Association at the University of Houston. FACT follows the same time frame as the CME Group Commodity Trading Challenge but only allows for trading of crude oil futures. This allows for FA members to learn and compete in the same fashion as those participating in the CME Group Commodity Trading Challenge.
Participants in FACT compete in teams of two for a two week period. Each team starts with $100,000 and the winning team is determined whomever raises their capital by the highest percentage. The following is the final standings for the top 10 teams and their final account balance. Congratulations!
